Nollywood actress, Yetunde Akilapa Caught Stealing Again

Nollywood actress, Yetunde Akilapa who was beaten to Coma few months ago for stealing expensive items at her boyfriend’s house has been arrested again for a similar offense.

 The actress was reportedly caught red handed breaking into a beauty lounge after closing hours in Yaba where she also works.

 She chose to steal from her boss, the lady who teaches her makeup after the madam just stocked her shop with iphones, laptops and other gadgets she newly brought into the country. 

Yetunde broke in at night after everyone called it a day with a master key, carting away some Iphones and iPads before someone blew the whistle on her. She was accosted and immediately whisked away bypolicemen.

 After series of questioning all that could be extracted from her was that she heard a strange voice urging her to go and steal. 

 The shop owner seems intent on drawing blood as she has insisted that the case be taken to court even after pleas from Yetunde’s sister. See photos from when Yetunde was first caught stealing and almost beaten to a coma at Magodo

Despite her statement after the first incident 

“I am not quitting again. God has finally shamed my critics and enemies. It’s true I have not been around for two weeks. I was going through a kind of marathon fasting and prayer. First, I had to go to my hometown on my mother’s invitation. That was where I stayed for about two weeks for spiritual cleansing, and I thank God I have triumphed over my enemies. The devil has lost the battle. I am a conqueror forever.”

Though, Yetunde explained that she went to different churches to get herself washed off of the spiritual attack on her person but said that she remains a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

“I am a member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ikorodu, where I reside. But I only attend Christ Embassy Church, Agidingbi, Lagos, once in a while. Even, my friend also introduced me to a Christ Apostolic Church, in Ketu, Lagos, where I also attend deliverance services. I don’t discriminate so far it’s all for my benefit. Now, I am happy that the battle is over. As I speak to you, I am on a movie location with some of my colleagues. They are all happy that I am back. I pray that any weapon fashioned against me again shall never prosper.”

This is the strange but true story of 69-year-old Ziona Chan lives in the remote mountain village called Baktwang, in northeast India. He married his first wife at the age of 17; as time passed he married new wives continuously, now he has 39 wives, Will and Guy have discovered. He has fathered 86 children; and now he also has 35 grandchildren.

The whole family cooks and perform their duties together and from what we can establish are extremely happy. He told us, 'I am blessed,' and added, 'I consider myself a lucky man to be the husband of 39 women and head of the world's largest family.'

A man, living in southern India, married a female dog in a traditional Hindu ceremony in an attempt to atone for stoning two other dogs to death; an act he believes left him cursed.

Mr P. Selvakumar aged 33 told the newspaper that he had been suffering from leg paralysis and the loss of hearing in one ear ever since he had stoned two dogs to death and hung their bodies from a tree some 15 years ago.

A holy man had suggested to him that to make up for this act of barbarism and to atone for his actions that he had to marry a she-dog.

You just could not make it up say Will and Guy.

FG will be paying All Nigerian citizens N5,000 monthly

The federal government is on the verge of fulfilling one of its campaign promises.

   Making this disclosure during the 10th year anniversary lecture of Crescent University, Abeokuta was Nigeria’s vice president, professor Yemi Osinbajo, who hinted that the unemployed as well as the poor Nigerians would pocket N5,000 monthly.

 According to Leadership reports, the number two citizen of Nigeria stated that government is currently evaluating the best ways to collapse existing cash transfer and social welfare schemes to ensure consistency and alignment.

 “Once this is completed, we will implement the first phase of this program, using recognized identification platforms and transparent payment solutions.
“We cannot talk about the economy of the future without addressing how we move people out of poverty. One of the most striking promises we made during the campaign was the payment of Five Thousand Naira to the poorest Nigerians across the country. “About 112 million (66% of Nigerians) are deemed extremely poor, measured by World Bank parameter of those living on less than US$1.25 per day,” Osinbajo explained.

Heavy flooding in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, has killed at least 12 people, with officials warning people to stay indoors to avoid animals that have escaped from a zoo.

The missing animals include tigers, lions, bears and wolves. Three of the dead people were found within the zoo.

Hellish whirlpool'

Tbilisi Zoo spokeswoman Mzia Sharashidze told InterPressNews agency that three bodies had been found in the zoo, including those of two employees.

She said the grounds had been turned into "a hellish whirlpool".

Ms Sharashidze said wolves, lions, tigers, jackals and jaguars had been shot dead by special forces or were missing.

Floodwater rose to the rooftops of enclosures at the zoo, drowning hundreds of animals. Many animals were swept out of their enclosures and escaped.

Roads have been destroyed and small houses and cars swept away.

A Facebooker, Thaddeus Yilmen, shared of a photo the first 'climber' for Buhari.

Mallam Kaura, a husband of two and father of five children, has climbed a tree and said he would not come down until President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, is inaugurated.

The man, who climbed a tree at Kurgwi Quan Pan Local Government in Plateau State on Friday, 22nd of May, has remained steadfast two days after.

There has been been a huge wave of trekkers since the Presidential elections in March. The first and most famous of the trekkers,Hasheem Sulaiman who trekked from Lagos to strictly to fulfill the promise he made to trek to Abuja if Buhari is declared winner.

Since then, a host of trekkers have tried their own, including oladele Nihi who trekk for the outgoing president, Goodluck Jonathan. Some other trekkers have trekked for their state governors.

Hopefully, the trekking trend will stop after the inauguration.

Davido Assitant Crying Inside Gtbank After receiving alert

A friend of Davido, Owolabi Money Maker, has lost about N880,000 after 419 fraudulently withdrew the cash from his GTB Account .

 Widely referred to as MoneyMakerHKN, the 27-year old created a scene at a GTB branch in Lekki after fraudsters hit his account with an N880,000 debit.

 Reports further revealed that Owolabi refused to be consoled after bank officials were unable to find a solution or revert the transaction which he already has been debited from his account.

 The father of one couldn’t control his emotion and kept crying as his baby-mama was embarrassed and appealed to him to remain calm. 

 An obviously distraught Owolabi reiterated that his child’s school fees would not be paid once he leaves the banking premises as he had no more money. Davido is currently not in the country and can’t be reached for details!!!

     Sarkodie and Ace Hood It was reported yesterday, May 22 that, American ace rapper, Ace Hood had charged Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie a whooping $25,000.00 for their much anticipated "New Guy" collaboration. 

 Sarkodie, in an interview on Starr FM on Friday, revealed that the "Bugatti" rapper called him for the collaboration but Ace counteracted to Sarkodie's claim calling him a liar. 

Sarkodie had claimed after he returned that it was Ace Hood’s reps who had contacted him first. “I didn’t make any announcement because basically I kind of doubted it which is bad but then such a call always makes you feel like ‘is it like a prank or something’ so I got my agents in the States who actually contacted me that Ace Hood contacted,” he said. “When he [Ace Hood] kind of checked out what was happening in Africa, [he] look[ed] at the bunch of people he can connect with, the type of sound that he was looking for and then lucky for Sark it was me.”

A fan on Twitter, who didn’t seem to believe Sark’s story, told Ace Hood about the story, who denied it.

 According to Ace Hood, Sarkodie paid him $25,000 for the feature.

Buhari Off To London With Diezani Alison-Madueke On Board

Embattled Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, today booked herself on a British Airways flight to London with Nigeria’s President-Elect, Muhammad Buhari, who sources claimed was on an scheduled trip. Diezani had been billed to travel to the UK next week Tuesday according to a source, however upon learning that Buhari was traveling to London, she asked the airline to book her on the same flight as Buhari so that she could have a chance to discuss directly with the President-Elect.

The world's oldest stone tools have been discovered, scientists report

They were unearthed from the shores of Lake Turkana in Kenya, and date to 3.3 million years ago.

They are 700,000 years older than any tools found before, even pre-dating the earliest humans in the Homo genus.

The find, reported in Nature, suggests that more ancient species, such asAustralopithecus afarensis or Kenyanthropus platyops, may have been more sophisticated than was thought.

"They are significantly earlier than anything that has been found previously," said Dr Nick Taylor, from the National Centre of Scientific Research (CNRS) in France and the University of Leiden in the Netherlands.

"It's really quite astonishing to think what separates the previous oldest site and this site is 700,000 years of time. It's monumental."

Gov. Fashola Says Jonathan’s Act Of Conceding Defeat Was Courageous

In an interview with Punch, Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola, shared his perspective on the matter: “I won’t join the debate because it is a raging debate; some say he is now a statesman, some say he is now a hero, others say he is not a hero as he did what he was expected to do. I will just say that first you must understand what we have become.

All of us are looking at an election. Do we normally, as a people, accept that we have been defeated? Let us ask ourselves that question. Let me animate it a little: can you remember how many times in football that we lost – we can’t qualify – and some people will still be saying ‘no, if somebody beats somebody by 20-0, we will qualify?’ And they will continue to raise hope where, clearly, hope is gone. Logic says to you ‘this is over.’ That is us. We don’t accept that it is over. It can be a positive energy somewhere else, to fight to the last. But in that context, I think we should acknowledge what President Jonathan did as the right thing.

If you lose, you should concede that you have lost. I won’t join the debate on whether he is a hero or a statesman, people will have their views. But was that the right thing to do? Yes. And I hope that from there we can pick an example. Was it courageous? I would think so in the circumstance that I have created. He had to go and tell a party that wanted to rule for 60 years that we have lost and I have accepted it.

There is a saying that while it seems ordinary to praise people for doing what is right or what is good, we must understand that it is not just for doing what is right or good that they got the praise or acknowledgement. 

It is because they avoided evil. And the kind of evil we could have seen is unfolding in Burundi now.

The question is to ask the many ifs; ‘what if he (Jonathan) had said no?’ That is my final word.”

PRESIDENT JONATHAN SIGNS N4.425TN 2015 BUDGET

According to a report by Punch, President Jonathan has signed the 2015 Appropriation Bill into law. It was revealed that Jonathan decided to sign the budget into law a couple of weeks ago.

The Senate had passed the 2015 budget on April 28, following the passage of the same bill by the House of Representatives on April 23, with an expenditure budget of N4.493tn, up from the N4.425tn proposed by the Executive.

Nigerians were concerned to know if the budget will be signed before the May 29th handover date, now we know it’s been done.

However, a Presidency source informed Punch, that the President signed the budget about two weeks ago immediately after the document passed by the National Assembly was transmitted to him.

The source, however, said he did not know why the President chose to sign the document without making it public.

When contacted, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, also confirmed that Jonathan had signed the budget.

The Senate, in passing the budget, slightly reduced the N2.607,601, 000,300 proposed by the Executive to N2.607,132,491,708 as recurrent expenditure and simultaneously scaled down the capital expenditure from N642,848,999,699 estimated in the proposal to N556,995,465,449.

The Chairman, Joint Senate Committee on Appropriation and Finance, Mohammed Maccido, explained that the details of the figure approved by the Senate in the document were not different from the version passed by the House of Representatives.

He added that the budget would be driven by $53 oil benchmark, an exchange rate of N190 to one US dollar; 2.2782m per barrel crude oil production per day; and a deficit gross domestic product of -1.12 per cent.

The budget also put fiscal deficit at N1.075tn; N953bn for debt service; N375.6bn as statutory transfers.

Education takes the lion’s share of the budget with N392.3bn; followed by the military which gets N338.7bn while police commands and formations will receive N303.8bn.

In the same vein, N237bn was voted for the health sector; N153bn for the Ministry of Interior while N25.1bn was budgeted for the Ministry of Works.

                             Hmmm mm the thing that surprised me is that this dish is super expensive in China, and it cost sometimes as much as 10,000 US dollars. Hong Kong and the United States are the largest importers of these nests.In Hong Kong, a bowl of bird's nest soup would cost US$30 to US$100. A kilogram of white nest can cost up to US$2,000, and a kilogram of red nests can cost up to US$10,000.. And you know how much that worths in Naira Palz. What a CRAZY WORLD.

The police in Edo State have arrested Junior Secondary School students

The police in Edo State have arrested 14 Junior Secondary School students over their alleged involvement in cult-related activities in Benin, the state capital. It was learnt that the students, aged between 12 and 15, were nabbed when a crack team of policemen stormed Oguola Secondary School at Saint Saviour in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the state last Thursday. 

 According to a source in the school, eight of the suspects were apprehended at flash spots within the school compound.

 Their arrest, it was learnt, had prompted the police to conduct a search on some students in the classrooms, where items believed to be emblems of notorious cult groups were recovered from them. It was also learnt that reports made against the students by some parents may have been responsible for the arrest.

 However, the Principal of school has appealed to the police command to release those found to be innocent at the end of their investigations. Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Stephen Onwochei, ‎on the arrest were unsuccessful. It was, however, learnt that 14 suspects were undergoing questioning at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Benin
