" I am sorry I coulnt't call you due to the work load I had in the office yesterday. I was very busy and didn't even have a time to go for a pee" drop your comments And tell her the best way to say this if u think is not good enough.
Correct but Is it polite to say pee? Which one is more polite when I'm in the middle of a date… A) I'm sorry, I have to pee B) I'm sorry, I have to urinate C) I'm sorry, I have to go to the toilet
It is probably a good idea not to mention toilets and other sanitary terms if you want to be formal.
"I didn't even have time to pick my calls" may be a good alternative, although I think the first sentence is sufficient and the second sentence is getting a little chatty.
Yes, I agree with jenifa , if your context is too formal is better not to mention the toilets (I didn't even have time to pick my calls is a good option).
On the other hand, if you want to be formal, but you are talking with a friend you can mention the toilets or restrooms. Reply With Quote
Indeed! The the initial proposal is flawed. If one were too busy to make the phone call and too busy to go to the toilet, there would have been a multiplicity of other things left undone. If formality is a requirement, why choose the lack of toilet breaks to explain one's heavy work load?
I think is correct nao
